  4. How much does wölkli Mail cost?

    Our base-level package for a single-user account with 200 MB of storage is offered to you for free! However, if you are happy with the service, please consider making a donation.   5. How can I pay for a wölkli Mail account?

    Customers based in Switzerland will receive an invoice, for which they can pay at any bank, Post Office or via e-banking. Additionally, they can pay by PayPal. Customers based in all other countries can pay for their account either by bank transfer or PayPal.

  6. Are my e-mails secure with wölkli Mail?

    Yes. Your e-mails are server-side encrypted and they are securely stored in our modern data centre in Switzerland. Additionally, the communication between your web browser or your mail client and our mail servers happens over a 256-bit SSL encryption to ensure that any data transfer remains secure.

  7. How can I generate a pair of OpenPGP keys?

    On wölkli Mail's web interface, click on the icon next to your e-mail address on the top right corner of your browser window and choose Settings. Under OpenPGP, select "Generate OpenPGP Keys". This will generate a pair of keys (private/public), which you can use to encrypt/decrypt, as well as sign your e-mails. Please note that you should never share your private PGP key with anyone!

  8. What happens if I forget my log-in password?

    wölkli Mail uses server-side encryption to ensure that your e-mails are stored under high security. Because of the way encryption works, if you forget your password, you will permanently lose access to your account and all of your emails.

  9. Do inactive wölkli Mail accounts get deleted?

    Although our aim is to provide our free accounts to all those that request them, we also expect that people make a good and fair use of their accounts. Consequently, all free wölkli Mail accounts that have not been used in the last 12 months are subject to permanent deletion. If you wish to keep your free wölkli account, please make sure to log in to it periodically.
